Summary:

SEA SAFETY ADVISORY ALERT: Rough sea with significant wave heights of (2.6m) and strong winds of (35km/h) will persist over The Gambia territorial waters until Saturday 0600UTC  29TH March 2025.

Strong wind speed and significant wave heights will continue to affect the sea particularly over offshore areas.                                                

Fishermen and other users at the sea are advice to use maximum sea safety regulations at all fishing landing sites during the period. 

Inshore Waters- 1 & 2: Up to 20 Nautical miles (37km) inside the Sea

Winds: Will vary between northwesterly and northerly flow with speed ranging from 10 - 30 km/h.

Wave Height:  will be 1.2 – 2.3 meters high.

Sea State:   Slight to moderate

Weather: Slight haze

Visibility: Moderate              

Offshore Waters- 1 & 2: From 20 up to 200 Nautical Miles (37km - 370km) into the high Sea

Winds: Will be mainly northeasterly flow with a speed ranging from 16 - 35 km/h.

Wave Height:  Will be 2.3– 2.6 meters high.

Sea State: Moderate to rough

Weather: Slight haze

Visibility: Moderate
