Summary:

SEA SAFETY ADVISORY ALERT: Rough sea with significant wave heights of (3.1m) and strong winds of (34km/h) will persist over The Gambia territorial waters.

The wind force and wave heights will continue to be rough especially over the offshore areas. These conditions will continue until tomorrow midday, 23rd February, 2025.

The fishermen and other users at the sea are advised to observe maximum sea safety regulations at all fishing landing sites during the period.

INSHORE WATERS- 1 & 2: Up to 20 Nautical miles (37km) inside the Sea

Winds: Will vary between northerly and northeasterly flow with speed ranging from 10 - 32 km/h.

Wave Height: will be 1.4–3.0 meters high.

Sea State: Slight to Rough

Weather: Slight haze

Visibility: Moderate

OFFSHORE WATERS- 1 & 2: From 20 up to 200 Nautical Miles (37km - 370km) into the high Sea

Winds: Will be mainly northerly flow with speed ranging from 16 - 34 km/h.

Wave Height: Will be 2.4 – 3.1 meters high.

Sea State: Moderate to Rough

Weather: Slight haze

Visibility: Moderate
