Summary:

SEA SAFETY ADVISORY ALERT: Rough sea with significant wave heights of (2.8m) and strong winds of (36km/h) will prevail over The Gambia territorial waters from Tomorrow 6:00pm to Thursday 4:00 pm 27th March 2025.

The wind force and wave heights will continue to be rough especially over the offshore areas. These conditions will continue until 4:00 pm Thursday 27th March, 2025.

Fishermen and other users at the sea are advice to use maximum sea safety regulations at all fishing landing sites during the period.

Inshore Waters- 1 & 2: Up to 20 Nautical miles (37km) inside the Sea

Winds: Will vary between northerly and northwesterly flow with speed ranging from 16- 34km/h.

Wave Height:  will be 0.5 – 1.8 meters high.

Sea State:  Slight to Moderate

Weather: Slight haze

Visibility: Moderate

Offshore Waters- 1 & 2: From 20 up to 200 Nautical Miles (37km - 370km) into the high Sea

Winds: Will vary northwesterly and northerly flow with speed ranging from 20 - 36

Wave Height:  Will be 2.0 – 2.7 meters high.

Sea State: Moderate to Rough

Weather: Slight haze

Visibility: Moderate
