SEA SAFETY ADVISORY ALERT: Rough sea with significant wave heights of (2.7m) and strong winds of (37km/h) will persist over The Gambia territorial waters until Sunday 1200UTC 23rd March 2025.
Strong wind speed and significant wave heights will continue to affect the sea particularly over offshore areas.
Fishermen and other users at the sea are advice to use maximum sea safety regulations at all fishing landing sites during the period.
Inshore Waters- 1 & 2: Up to 20 Nautical miles (37km) inside the Sea
Winds: Will vary between northwesterly and northerly flow with speed ranging from 15 - 35 km/h.
Wave Height: will be 1.3 – 2.5 meters high.

Offshore Waters- 1 & 2: From 20 up to 200 Nautical Miles (37km - 370km) into the high Sea
Winds: Will be northerly flow with a speed ranging from 18 - 37 km/h.
Wave Height: Will be 2.0– 2.7 meters high.
