SEA SAFETY ADVISORY ALERT: Rough sea with significant wave heights of (3.6m) and strong winds of (35km/h) will persist over The Gambia territorial waters. These conditions will continue until midnight of Sunday 23rd February, 2025.
The fishermen and other users of the sea are advised to use maximum sea safety advisory regulations as the wind force and wave heights will continue to be rough especially over the offshore areas.
Inshore Waters- 1 & 2: Up to 20 Nautical miles (37km) inside the Sea
Winds: Will vary between North and Northwesterly flow with speed ranging from 14 - 31 km/h.
Wave Height: will be 1.2–2.9 meters high.
Sea State: Moderate to Rough
Weather: Slight haze
Visibility: Moderate
Offshore Waters- 1 & 2: From 20 up to 200 Nautical Miles (37km - 370km) into the high Sea
Winds: Will vary between North and Northwesterly flow with speed ranging from 11 - 35 km/h.
Wave Height: Will be 1.8 – 3.6 meters high.
Sea State: Moderate to Rough
Weather: Slight haze
Visibility: Moderate
