SEA SAFETY ADVISORY ALERT: Rough sea with significant wave heights of (3.2m) and strong winds of (37km/h) will persist over The Gambia territorial waters.

These conditions will continue to prevail until midnight of Sunday 23rd February, 2025.

Fishermen and other users at the sea are advised to observe maximum sea safety regulations at all fishing landing sites during the period.

Inshore Waters- 1 & 2: Up to 20 Nautical miles (37km) inside the Sea

Winds: Will vary between North and Northwesterly flow with speed ranging from 11 - 35 km/h.

Wave Height: will be 0.9–2.5 meters high.

Sea State: Slight to Rough

Weather: Slight haze

Visibility: Moderate

Offshore Waters- 1 & 2: From 20 up to 200 Nautical Miles (37km - 370km) into the high Sea

Winds: Will vary between North and Northwesterly flow with speed ranging from 17 - 37 km/h.

Wave Height: Will be 1.6 – 3.1 meters high.

Sea State: Moderate to rough

Weather: Slight haze

Visibility: Moderate
