SEA SAFETY ADVISORY ALERT: Rough sea with significant wave heights of (2.7m) and strong winds of (34km/h) will prevail over The Gambia territorial waters from Tomorrow 6:00pm to Sunday 3:00 pm 23rd March 2025.
The wind force and wave heights will continue to be rough especially over the offshore areas. These conditions will continue until 3:00 pm Sunday 23rd March, 2025.
Fishermen and other users at the sea are advice to use maximum sea safety regulations at all fishing landing sites during the period.
Inshore Waters- 1 & 2: Up to 20 Nautical miles (37km) inside the Sea
Winds: Will vary between westerly and northerly flow with speed ranging from 13 - 32 km/h.
Wave Height: will be 0.5 – 1.3 meters high.
Sea State: Slight to moderate
Weather: Slight haze
Visibility: Moderate
Offshore Waters- 1 & 2: From 20 up to 200 Nautical Miles (37km - 370km) into the high Sea
Winds: Will be northerly flow with speed ranging from 20 - 34 km/h.
Wave Height: Will be 1.4– 2.7 meters high.
Sea State: Moderate to rough
Weather: Slight haze
Visibility: Moderate
