SEA SAFETY ADVISORY ALERT: Rough sea with significant wave heights of (2.8m) and strong winds of (36km/h) will prevail over The Gambia territorial waters.

These conditions will continue to prevail until mid-day of Thursday 13th March, 2025.

Fishermen and other users at the sea are adviced to use maximum sea safety regulations at all fishing landing sites during the period.

Inshore Waters- 1 & 2: Up to 20 Nautical miles (37km) inside the Sea

Winds: Will vary between north and northwesterly flow with speed ranging from 14- 35km/h.

Wave Height:  will be 0.9 – 1.9 meters high.

Sea State:  Slight to Moderate

Weather: Fair

Visibility: Good

Offshore Waters- 1 & 2: From 20 up to 200 Nautical Miles (37km - 370km) into the high Sea

Winds: Will be mainly northerly flow with speed ranging from 18 - 36 km/h.

Wave Height:  Will be 1.4– 2.8 meters high.

Sea State: Moderate to Rough

Weather: Fair

Visibility: Good
