SEA SAFETY ADVISORY ALERT: Rough sea with significant wave heights of (2.7m) is expected to prevail over The Gambia territorial waters from today 6:00pm to tomorrow 11:00am 11th April 2025.

Fishermen and other users at the sea are advice to use maximum sea safety regulations at all fishing landing sites during the period.

Inshore Waters- 1 & 2: Up to 20 Nautical miles (37km) inside the Sea

Winds: Will vary between northwesterly and northerly flow with a speed ranging from 13 - 30km/h.

Wave Height:  will be 0.8 – 2.5 meters high

Sea State:  Moderate to Rough

Weather: Fine

Visibility: Good

Offsore Waters- 1 & 2: From 20 up to 200 Nautical Miles (37km - 370km) into the high Sea

Winds: Will be mainly northerly flow with a speed ranging from 15 – 33km/h.

Wave Height:  Will be 2.0 – 2.7 meters high.

Sea State: Moderate to rough

Visibility: Good
