SEA SAFETY ADVISORY ALERT: Rough sea with significant wave heights of (2.8m) and strong winds of (34km/h) will prevail over The Gambia territorial waters from Tomorrow 9:00am the 10th March 2025.
The wind force and wave heights will continue to be rough especially over the offshore areas. These conditions will continue until 2:00 pm Friday 14th March, 2025.
Fishermen and other users at the sea are advice to use maximum sea safety regulations at all fishing landing sites during the period.
Inshore Waters- 1 & 2: Up to 20 Nautical miles (37km) inside the Sea
Winds: Will be mainly northerly flow with speed ranging from 14 - 34 km/h.
Wave Height: will be 0.4 – 1.1 meters high.
Sea State: Slight
Weather: Fair
Visibility: Good
Offshore Waters- 1 & 2: From 20 up to 200 Nautical Miles (37km - 370km) into the high Sea
Winds: Will be northerly flow with speed ranging from 25 - 36 km/h.
Wave Height: Will be 1.2– 2.5 meters high.
Sea State: Slight to Rough
